Connect Telegram (the easiest, 3 steps)

In the panel: Settings → Telegram bot card. The guide inside the card has these same steps, with copy buttons, direct links to your own app's pages and automatic ticks for the steps the app checks by itself. At the top of the card a three-state strip “Keys valid → Webhook verified → First message received” shows where you are, and writes the reason in red when something is stuck.

1. Open BotFather and send /newbot, then a name and a username ending in bot (like mybrand_bot).What you see: The BotFather chat (Telegram's own bot, with the blue tick).⚠️ Common mistake: A username without “bot” at the end, or a bot someone else made.
2. Paste the token BotFather gave you into this card's “Bot token (from BotFather)” box and click “Save & test”.What you see: BotFather's message with a token like 123456789:AA….⚠️ Common mistake: Copying the sentence around the token, or the token of an old bot.
3. Open the bot link (for customers), press START and send “hello”.What you see: Your own bot in Telegram; a reply comes and the chat shows on the Conversations page.⚠️ Common mistake: This is the customers' link; for your own alerts use the orange box below. Testing from your own account is fine (it shows as a customer).

The webhook, the command menu and the bot description are set up automatically. Telegram has no 24-hour limit.

Receiving messages: in the same card, the Receiving messages option is set to Automatic. If a public address (section 8) is ready, Telegram sends messages to it. If not, the app fetches messages from Telegram directly from this computer. Direct mode needs no tunnel or any other service. Telegram plus this computer’s AI works on its own. The computer just has to stay on and connected to the internet.

🔔 Alerts on my own Telegram (staff and owner) — separate from the customer bot

On the Tasks page click “Link my Telegram”, scan the QR code with your phone or tap the button, then START. If the chat with the bot is already open, send the /staff CODE command shown there.

What you see: A QR code and a button valid for 10 minutes; after linking, “Linked ✓”.

Outside services: each business connects its own account and key. If a service (for example WhatsApp Business or a cloud AI) has said it is not offered in your business’s country, a short note with a link to that service’s official terms appears under its card in Settings. All other channels keep working as usual.
