Building flows and automations
In a fresh install, the list of flows and automations is empty, so you can build everything yourself, your own way. The main menu (prices, request form, talk to the team) works from day one without any flow.
- Flow (a step-by-step conversation): Flows → New flow (gallery). Choose from dozens of ready-made flows (general and for your trade) or build one from scratch. Before publishing, try the Preview.
- Automation (a reaction to a keyword in a direct message, comment or story): Automations → create → keyword → a reply or a flow.
- Before turning on anything new, test it in the Simulator as a customer would. No message is actually sent.
- Health check finds duplicate keywords, broken links and dead ends.
Building a flow from one sentence
- Flows → Make from one sentence. Write what the flow should do, for example “whenever someone asks about sizes, send the size chart”, and click Make it.
- The AI builds the flow using only the app’s own building blocks:
- Start with a word or a link
- Message
- A library file, found by its tags such as “size chart”
- Question
- AI task
- Find a product
- Tag
- Hand over to the team
- The flow is only a draft. Look it over, try it in the Test section and turn it on with Publish. Until you publish it yourself, it reaches no customer.
AI inside flows and forms
| Option | Where it is | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Understand free-text answers | Settings → AI in flow and form questions card → On | A customer may answer a question in their own words, for example “the red one”, “about ten” or “tomorrow evening”. In this mode the AI turns that into the option, number or date the question needs. This option also applies to all your existing flows. An answer that does not fit the question’s rules is not accepted, and the question is asked again as before. An option that is not in the question’s list is never chosen. If the customer asks something else midway, it is answered as before. By default this option is off until you or smart setup turn it on. |
| Pull information from a message | A new node in the “AI” group of the flow editor | Choose the fields you want (for example city, quantity, date). From one free-text message such as “three black pairs, delivered to Chicago”, they are all saved at once. Later questions marked “don’t ask if we know” are no longer asked, and forms sent to the customer already contain this information. Outputs: Found and Nothing found. |
| Conversation summary for the team | A new node in the “AI” group | Summarises the conversation in a few lines for your colleagues: what the customer wants, what is known and what is still missing. The summary is saved in the customer’s case and is never sent to the customer. The best place for it is right before “Hand over to the team”. |
| Find a product from the customer’s words | module action node → Find a product from the customer's words (when “Catalog & orders” is on) | Finds the product in the catalog from the customer’s own words, such as “that small brown bag”. It searches first by words and then with AI, and never brings up a product outside the catalog. It then sends the product card with photo, price and a “Choose” button. If nothing is found, it takes the Not found output. |
| Suggest related products | module action node → Suggest related products | For the product the customer chose, it suggests 2 or 3 other products from the same category, as cards. Only products in the catalog are suggested. |
